Jubilee Weekend on East Lancashire Railway – Friday 3rd / Saturday 4th / Sunday, June 5th 2022

The East Lancashire Railway will offer a colourful celebration of the late 1940s and early 1950s in honour of the Queen's Platinum Jubilee.

There will be live music, dance lessons, vintage booths, period motorcars, and 'old-time' diversions and entertainment for the whole family at Ramsbottom and Bury stations. Travel between the events using East Lancs' iconic steam and vintage diesel trains from the era – and relax in the Vintage Bar Car or travel in royal luxury in the Observation Saloon along the route.

"The Topsy-Turvy Tea Party" A Jubilant Rusticus Adventure at Tatton Park – Monday, May 28th to Sunday, June 5th

The Book of Legends reopens this bank holiday weekend in Tatton Park. With a simple twist of the word "fete", you'll be whisked away on a whirlwind voyage to meet a variety of exuberant revellers set on a grand party. This isn't your typical garden party! Find Musical Mayhem in Ancient Greece, forest fun with a fabled outlaw, and toilet tea time with the Mad Hatter! And, to commemorate our Queen's jubilee, bring your own royal feast (and picnic rug) to eat in the spectacular forest glade.

This 45-minute interactive story tour visits the Tower Garden, pine forest walks, and Choragic monument, among other historic beauty points in the garden. Performances are held at 11:30 a.m., 1 p.m., and 2:30 p.m.

This unique event is free of charge; usual garden and parkland entry costs apply (free for National Trust members but remember there is still a car park charge to pay). You will find updated information on this event here.
