What Makes the Belfast Christmas Market so great?

It's that time of year again -  the Christmas Continental Market is back in Belfast, and we can't wait to go. Our Serviced Apartments are located in sought-after areas throughout the city, situated in perfect locations for access to the markets. You can choose from Obel ApartmentsThomas Hall ApartmentsTitanic Arc Apartments.

Nothing says Christmas like wrapping up in your thickest winter coat and walking over to the seasonal market outside City Hall. This year, the market will begin at noon on Saturday, November 14, shortly before the Christmas lights are turned on. We've compiled a list of 11 of our favourite aspects of the market with that in mind.

The Festive Spirit

It isn't easy to put into words, but we're instantly in the Christmas spirit when we go into the market, especially if we're wearing our festive jumpers. There's simply something about the scents and sounds that makes us look forward to December 25.

The Burgers

There's nothing like a good burger to keep you warm while you're enjoying the sights and sounds of the market, from kangaroo to crocodile to pulled pork belly busters.

The Mountain of Sweets

Go to the Christmas market if you want to view the largest range of pic and mix sweets. We promise that no matter how hard you try, you'll wind up spending approximately a tenner on sweets.

The Beer Tent

It's the one time of year when we don't mind spending the night in a tent since it's Christmas and a fantastic reason to catch up with friends.

Churros and Crepes

If you enjoy sweets, you must try a chocolate-filled crepe or a churro slathered with Nutella. Or both... after all, it's Christmas!

Snow Globe Insta Pics

Stepping inside the enormous snow globe and having your photo taken is a terrific opportunity to capture memories with friends at the Christmas market.

Flavoured Beer

Even if you're not a beer enthusiast, we recommend trying one of the various flavoured beers; strawberry is our particular favourite.

Unusual Gifts

There are usually some fantastic local crafts on show at the markets, and it's a terrific opportunity to pick up a one-of-a-kind Christmas gift for your friends and family.

Santa's Grotto

Bring the kids to visit Santa in his magnificent grotto, and don't forget to post your letter to him by December 18 to receive a letter back from the man himself.

The Christmas Lights

Take a few moments to see our small city in lights for the holiday season, especially City Hall and the streets around the city centre.

Festive Music

Nothing screams Christmas like Christmas music and songs; while you're out and about, make sure to catch the carol singers on the steps of city halls; they'll put you in the Christmas spirit!
