Things to get up to in Belfast

Belfast is the booming capital of Northern Ireland. Dream Apartments has compiled a list of the most exciting activities in Belfast and beyond to guarantee that you have a fantastic time while staying in one of our serviced apartments across the city.

Take A Pub Crawl

We are not kidding when we say that Belfast has one of Europe's best nightlife scenes! Everyone will discover something they enjoy. The best way to see Belfast's nightlife is definitely to organise a pub crawl.

You can schedule one via one of the many businesses that provide tours, or you can organise your own.

If you decide to create your own, we recommend making a reservation at one of the following bars or clubs:

Visit The Murals By Taking A City Bus Tour

Belfast has a distinct history. It's an important piece of history that, despite best efforts, has yet to be resolved entirely. To see all of the murals in Belfast, take an open-top bus tour or a black taxi cab throughout the city.

You'll need a guide to explain the importance of each picture, and you'll even get to view the renowned peace wall that formerly separated Northern Ireland's two communities. Belfast's history will enchant you and don't be afraid to ask plenty of questions.

You may book these tours through GetYourGuide, or you can look for the guys in red jackets advertising them in the city centre.

Explore the Parliament Buildings (Stormont)

Stormont is the name of Belfast's parliament building. The building is impressive in and of itself! It's free to visit, and the hike to the summit is beautiful. It can be seen from many parts of the city due to its location on top of a hill. After your walk, stop by the coffee shop for a cup of tea or coffee, as well as a homemade bun or pastry.

Investigate Crumlin Road Gaol's History

This jail was built in 1845 and was operational until 1996. It's an essential part of the history of the Northern Ireland conflict. During its 150-year history, the Gaol has housed suffragists, murderers, loyalists, and republicans. Escapes, executions, hunger strikes, and riots have occurred, as have deaths, births, and weddings.

It's a must-see in Belfast since it's so rich in history!

It costs £9 per adult to book online (£12 if you pay at the door).

They provide theme excursions, most notably during their Halloween horror evenings.

Go to Titanic Belfast

You'll learn everything there is to know about the history and building of the ship (the ship was built in Belfast). They've also recreated the iconic stairwell from the film, which you can visit on Sundays for afternoon tea. This should be on everyone's to-do list when visiting Belfast, and you can book it here.

Titanic Belfast first opened its doors in 2012 and has since become one of the city's most popular tourist attractions. It is open all year round (apart from the 24th to the 26th of December)

Adults are charged £18.50, while children are charged £8. (under 5s go free). There is also a student discount.
