The Best Places to Eat in Liverpool

You should absolutely leave any cooking tasks at home when planning a weekend away. Staycations offer an opportunity to appreciate a new area by discovering (or, in some cases, overindulging) the local cuisines – and why not? While staying at our Serviced Apartments in Liverpool and seeing everything the city has to offer, spend some time savouring the massive array of cafes and street cuisine. Read on to learn about Dream Apartment's guide to the Liverpool culinary scene.

1) The Art School Restaurant

The Art School Restaurant is harboured in what used to be a Victorian-era "home for orphaned children." The Art School Restaurant, which is close to the Liverpool Philharmonic and the Everyman Theatre, specialises in superb, beautifully cooked British food.

2) Panoramic 34

This should be your go-to if you want to impress a date. The only issue is that the decor will most likely distract you. Panoramic 34's magnificent location on the 34th floor of the West Tower complements its exceptional meals. Dine with a view at Liverpool's sky-high restaurant if you're feeling courageous enough.

3) Röski

If you want to taste the "next big thing" in the Liverpool culinary scene, go to Röski. Anton Piotrowski, a MasterChef: The Professionals champion, owns and runs the restaurant, and the cuisine emphasises inventive uses of British ingredients. Bring your camera since everything is beautifully displayed.

4) The London Carriage Works

When you ask locals what their favourite restaurant is, the London Carriage Works is usually mentioned. Their food is sophisticated European dining done simply and with flair, with a focus on ingredients from the North West. This well-known Liverpool eatery is ideal for a graduation meal or afternoon tea.

5) Maray

Maray began in Liverpool by a group of friends who sought to mimic the atmosphere of Paris's Marais. This chic and cosy restaurant provides small plates influenced by Middle Eastern flavours and brings plant-based food to new heights. Maray also offers a great selection of beef and seafood dishes.

6) The Italian Club

The Italian Club is the place to go if you want more than just amazing pizza and pasta, but also a restaurant with personality and charm. With its lofty ceilings and walls covered with historic maps, this much-loved Bold Street tavern seems humble and lived-in. It also provides some of the best Italian cuisine in the area. This is one of the city's most hospitable eateries, with a genuine Italian flavour.

7) Kasbah

At the Kasbah Café Bazaar, you can always expect a warm greeting. The staff treat you as if you were a visitor at their own family table in Morocco, and if that's how they dine, it's a family we want to be a part of! The cuisine is hearty and flavourful, and it will warm you up from the inside out.
