Encore is the Dundee Rep Theatre's brasserie and café. Where some well-known actors, including Richard Todd and David Tennant, began their careers. The theatre and restaurant are both located on Tay Square in the city's Cultural Quarter, adjacent to Abertay University and The Howff, which is the city's ancient burial cemetery going back five centuries. The Bruach Bar and Restaurant is on Brook Street in Dundee's Broughty Ferry neighbourhood. This cuisine combines traditional Scottish ingredients and seasonal vegetables with modern cooking methods. The menu includes classic cock-a-leekie soup, West Coast mussels in white wine and garlic, and Inverurie pig loin with dauphinoise and thyme sauce. One of the bar's trademark drinks is the Tequila Mockingbird, which is created with tequila, fresh rhubarb, grenadine, lemon, and egg white.

Castlehill Restaurant

Restaurant, British

Castlehill Restaurant has gotten several compliments on the exceptional quality of its food as well as its distinctive and imaginative décor. The restaurant is situated on the site of a 13th-century fortress that was dismantled to make space for a large Apollo statue that functioned as a navigational aid for passing ships on the Tay River. Chef Adam Newth served at Edinburgh's Michelin-starred Number One and is a past Scottish Seafood Chef of the Year. Quotes by Hugh MacDiarmid and Robert Louis Stevenson adorn the walls, while the menu features delicacies such confit duck terrine, ox cheek with turnip purée, and spinach.
