With Halloween approaching quickly, we've compiled a list of places in Northern Ireland, specifically Belfast, where you can have a good time with your kids during this spooky season. From pumpkin patches to movie screenings to mysterious arts and crafts, there are plenty of fun activities to do with the family this Halloween.

Here's all you need to know about what's happening for youngsters in Northern Ireland this Halloween. 

Scarecrow Walks, Hillsborough Castle and Gardens

When: Saturday, October 16, Saturday, October 23 and Saturday, October 30.

Time: Timed walks at 10.30, 11.45, 13.30, 14.45.

This October, Hillsborough Castle and Gardens will come alive with a scarecrow festival.

Visit the exhibit and participate in events such as a family foraging walk on October 2, straw craft workshops on October 9, storytelling walks on October 16, lantern making workshops on October 23, and a make-your-own-mini-scarecrow class on October 23. (October 30).

Adult tickets are £14.20 without a contribution, children's tickets are £7.10 without a donation, and family packages are available.

Family ticket 1 costs £24.80 and is good for one adult and up to three youngsters. The cost of a Family Ticket 2 is £39.00 for two adults and up to three children.

Platform 9 3/4 Trolley, Belfast Lanyon Place Station

When: Friday, October 29 - Sunday, October 31

With the classic Platform 9 and 3/4 Trolley from Harry Potter, you can visit the wizarding realm this Halloween.

To commemorate the 20th anniversary of the release of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, a display will be set up in Belfast Lanyon Place Train Station.

This is a free event with no need to purchase a ticket.

Crumlin Road Gaol, Pumpkin Patch with Halloween Tour for Kids

When: Thursday, October 21 - Sunday, October 31

Time: 11am - 5pm

Crumlin Road Gaol has designed the ultimate day for your small ones, providing the right atmosphere for a scary tour that is kid-friendly. Friendly spirits will accompany you around the Gaol, giving you stories about strange things that happen at night. A pumpkin patch and carving station are also available. 

Tickets are £12.50 (including Pumpkin) for children and £9 for adults (excludes Pumpkin). Children under the age of 1 are admitted free of charge, but they do not receive a pumpkin. You must purchase a full kid ticket if you want a pumpkin for a youngster under the age of one.

Hallowee'uns, The Jungle, Magherafelt

When: Monday, October 25 - Saturday, October 30

Time: 11am - 3pm

There are lots of Halloween activities to keep you occupied, like pumpkin picking and carving, a spooky Haycart Ride, a Maize Maze, and prizes for the best dressed. 

Tickets are £18 for children (ages 2 and up) and £5 for adults.
