1) Linthorpe Road
Linthorpe Road, which runs from Linthorpe Village to the heart of Middlesbrough, is an excellent spot to begin a night out. The Vine, Artizan, Olivellos, and The Copperstone are just a few restaurants with attached cocktail bars that have sprouted up in recent years. Olivellos is an excellent spot for a drink - don't miss their fantastic cocktail trees to get the party started, then continue along Linthorpe Road to explore the other bars on your approach into central Middlesbrough. You'll discover many more pubs and bars down Linthorpe Road before hitting Southfield Road, Baker, and Bedford Streets, which are all within a two-minute walk of each other. Even more pubs and clubs may be found on Albert Road for the night owls.
The bar scene in Middlesbrough is still held to a high level. The Nuthatch, located on Bedford Street, is a craft cocktail emporium with a beautiful atmosphere. Alchemy & Co is a prohibition bar on Linthorpe Road that requires a password to enter - see their Facebook page for more information. It also has live music regularly and some of the greatest drinks in town. Finally, Macy Brown's on Linthorpe Road is definitely worth a visit if you enjoy 2-for-1 drinks. It has a wonderful vibe, hosts seminars and is another excellent option for both old and new music, with a great weekend feel.
The Dovecot Bar boasts one of Middlesbrough's largest gins selections, as well as a luxurious decor with frequent DJs spinning anything from Motown to dance to reggae to pop music. So arrive early to take advantage of one of the booths!
2) Linthorpe Village
Or you can start your evening with friends or family at Linthorpe Village, where you can enjoy the laid-back vibes of Persian Cottage or some delectable Turkish cuisine at Meze Lounge on Linthorpe Road before witnessing some top local musical talent at The Westgarth. It's one of the most sought-after performance venues in the UK for up-and-coming musicians. Alternatively, you may end the night at the Town Hall's entertaining monthly comedy club.
Linthorpe Village, which has recently witnessed an influx of trendy pubs and restaurants, is rapidly becoming the go-to food and drink destination.
Lastly, if you're looking for the local Wetherspoons, it's called The Resolution, it's in Captain Cook Square, it's massive, and so too is the atmosphere. It's a Lloyds Bar branch, so it's open until the early hours on the weekends if you fancy a bit of dancing.
