Linthorpe Road, which connects Linthorpe Village to the centre of Middlesbrough, is a great place to start a night out. The Vine, Artizan, Olivellos, and The Copperstone are just a handful of the restaurants with cocktail bars that have sprung up in recent years. Olivellos is a great place to start the party with their superb cocktail trees, then continue along Linthorpe Road to enjoy the other pubs on your way into central Middlesbrough. Many more pubs and bars can be found down Linthorpe Road before reaching Southfield Road, Baker Street, and Bedford Street, which are all within a two-minute walk of each other. For the night owls, Albert Road has even more bars and clubs.
Middlesbrough's bar culture maintains a high standard. The Nuthatch, located on Bedford Street, is a stunning speciality cocktail emporium. Alchemy & Co is a prohibition bar on Linthorpe Road that requires a secret password to enter; for more information, visit their Facebook page. It also offers live music on a regular basis and some of the best cocktails in town. Finally, if you prefer 2-for-1 cocktails, Macy Brown's on Linthorpe Road is a must-visit. It has a sociable vibe, organises seminars, and is another excellent alternative for both old and new music, with a weekend feeling.
The Dovecot Bar has one of the largest gins collections in Middlesbrough, as well as a luxury ambience with regular DJs performing everything from Motown to dance to reggae to mainstream music. So get there early if you want to take advantage of one of the booths!
Linthorpe Village
Alternatively, you may begin your evening with friends or family at Linthorpe Village, where you can enjoy the laid-back ambience of Persian Cottage or some wonderful Turkish food at Meze Lounge on Linthorpe Road before seeing some great local musical talent at The Westgarth. For aspiring musicians, it is one of the most sought-after performance places in the UK. Alternatively, you may finish the night at the Town Hall's amusing monthly comedy club.
Linthorpe Village is quickly becoming the go-to food and drink destination, thanks to an influx of stylish bars and eateries.
Finally, if you're searching for the local Wetherspoons, it's called The Resolution, it's located in Captain Cook Square, it's gigantic, and the vibe is equally so. Because it's a Lloyds Bar location, it's open till the early hours of the morning on weekends if you feel like dancing.
