Belfast is a welcoming city with an infectious spirit and an ever-expanding selection of venues to dine, drink, and be entertained. To top it all off, it's a little city with all the amenities of a major metropolis. As a result, you won't have to travel far to see everything on this list of activities to do in Belfast City.

If you're only visiting the city once, this is the only article you'll need. Here's our Belfast Bucket List: the top things to do in Belfast!

Stormont Park – for a beautiful stroll around Northern Ireland's Stormont Parliament Buildings

Stormont, formally known as 'Parliament Buildings,' is the official residence of the Northern Ireland Executive (the government for Northern Ireland).

Unlike many other houses of parliament across the UK, Stormont Parliament Buildings is located on a lovely estate outside of the city centre that is surrounded by stunning vegetation.

Stormont Park is an excellent area to go for a calm walk, and if you want to learn more about the residences, tours are available on weekends.

Stormont is one of the best things to do in Northern Ireland if you are interested in politics, want to go for a beautiful walk, or both!

The Victoria Square Dome, Belfast City Centre – for a unique 360° view of the city

If you don't have time to hike up a hill and want to get a 360-degree perspective of Belfast, check out the Dome in Victoria Square. One of the most incredible sights to see in Belfast.

The Dome in Victoria Square, which rises far above the city's skyline, offers 360-degree views of the metropolis. View the city's historic structures, such as Belfast City Hall, from afar.

This fantastic exhibit is free to enter and can be reached via lift or stairs. Furthermore, this is one of the best shopping areas in Northern Ireland.

Botanic Gardens – for exotic tree species and tropical plants

Are you looking for some greenery? Another fantastic activity to do in Belfast is to visit the Botanic Gardens. These gardens are located just outside the city centre, near Queen's University.

The Botanic Gardens, built in the nineteenth century, are an essential element of Belfast's Victorian legacy and a popular gathering spot for locals, students, and tourists.

The Botanic and Horticultural Society founded the gardens in 1828 due to popular interest in horticulture and botany. Once known as the Belfast Botanic Garden, the location housed exotic tree species and spectacular plant collections from the southern hemisphere, many of which may still be seen in the park.
