With the fantastic news of COVID-19 restrictions lifting across Northern Ireland, it’s time to enjoy ourselves. Outdoor hospitality reopens here on the 30th April and we are VERY excited! Here are the top spots in Belfast where you can enjoy an ice-cold pint outdoors.
1. The Thirsty Goat
Located in the infamous Cathedral Quarter and a 6-minute walk from our serviced apartments, The Thirsty Goat is a major hit in Belfast. The bar has an accommodating outdoor area as well as indoor which has a quirky vibe and brilliant atmosphere. They are currently taking bookings for their beer garden so make sure and be quick!
2. Babel Rooftop bar
Babel is known as Bullit Hotel’s rooftop bar and garden which offers a 360 view of the city. They offer a range of classic and tasty cocktails alongside locally inspired dough pizzas. The rooftop is walk ins only or book online for after the 24th May when inside reopens.
3. The National
Another classic bar located beside Cathedral Quarter. The National offers local live music which creates a buzzing atmosphere! The bar has a huge outdoor sheltered area which consists of two bars. You can enjoy a fancy gin or a jaw dropping burger – it’s up to you! The beer garden operates on a first come first serve basis and opens at 12pm, so start making plans.
4. Bullitt Hotel
Located below their rooftop bar is Bullitt’s sophisticated Courtyard which offers an outdoor area made for cocktails and craft beers, what more could you want! Reopening on the 30th April, The Courtyard will operate on a first come first serve basis. However, they are taking bookings for overnight stays and indoor sittings for May 24th onwards!
5. The Perch Rooftop
The scenery and decoration within The Perch Rooftop bar is worth a trip in itself. The modern and edgy atmosphere is the perfect spot to enjoy their wide range of cocktails and gins. A visit here should be at the top of your list!
6. The Boneyard
The Boneyard is one of Belfast’s largest outdoor area and it is a very popular spot. The courtyard is packed with sheltered picnic tables and even pods for parties of up to 6. They offer a booking service if required however they have plenty of room for walk ins! They also serve a great range of street food.
7. Cargo by Vertigo
A 6-minute drive from our serviced accommodation is Cargo by Vertigo. Located in the infamous Titanic Quarter you can enjoy tasty cocktails, beer and delicious food under the Belfast sky! You are currently able to book online ahead of April 30th and they even have a 3 course meal offer.
8. Limelight Belfast
Limelight recently renovated their outdoor area to accommodate COVID-19 guidelines, and it is looking great! Renowned for its live music gigs and nightclub, the venue offers a spacious outdoor area to enjoy some perfectly pulled pints.
9. Kelly’s Cellar
If you want the full Irish experience, Kelly’s Cellar is the spot. It is one of Belfast’s oldest traditional Irish pubs and is a hidden gem in Belfast. They are currently running a booking system for beer garden reservations so make sure to book if you fancy live music, pints of Guinness and Irish stew!
